IIENSTITU Accessibility Services Policy (ASP)
1) Purpose
This policy defines IIENSTITU’s commitment to making education technology services accessible to all learners. Our goal is to provide an inclusive, barrier-free learning experience for students with disabilities and those requiring specific support.
2) Scope
The policy covers all online/on-site education technology services, digital content, Learning Management Systems (LMS), assessment tools, support channels, and all students, instructors, and staff who use these services.

A) Services Offered
A.1 Assistive Technology Solutions
Provide hardware and software solutions that promote learner independence and access to digital materials (e.g., screen-reader compatibility, keyboard navigability, text enlargement).
A.2 Accommodations (Reasonable Adjustments)
Offer alternative formats, captions and audiovisual support, sign language interpreters, and similar measures to foster an inclusive environment. When appropriate, apply extended time and alternative assessment options.
A.3 Instructional Design Support
Instructional designers and learning technology teams work with faculty to ensure equitable course design, accessible content, and assessment alignment.
A.4 Training & Technical Support
Deliver accessibility-focused training sessions for students and instructors. Provide ongoing technical support and practical guides for all services.
B) Request & Evaluation Process
B.1 Request
Students submit accessibility needs via official support channels (service desk/email). Documentation may be requested where necessary to determine appropriate accommodations.
B.2 Evaluation
Accessibility/Student Support, L&D/IT, and (where applicable) Student Affairs review requests in a reasonable timeframe and determine suitable accommodations.
B.3 Notification & Implementation
Decisions and arrangements are communicated in writing to the student and relevant instructor(s). Required technical adjustments are implemented in the LMS and course materials.
B.4 Monitoring
Effectiveness of accommodations is reviewed periodically; updates are made as needs evolve.
C) Roles & Responsibilities
Accessibility Services / Student Support: Intake, evaluation, and coordination of accommodations.
IT / Learning Technologies: Ensure LMS and tools are technically compatible and support assistive technologies.
Instructional Design / Instructors: Create accessible content and apply accommodations in course delivery.
Leadership: Provide resources and oversight for policy implementation.
Students: Communicate needs in a timely manner and use accommodations responsibly.
D) Measurement, Feedback & Continuous Improvement
D.1 Key Indicators (KPIs)
Track response time to requests, accommodation fulfillment rate, captioning/alternative-format coverage, technical compatibility, and satisfaction scores.
D.2 Feedback
Use surveys, focus groups, and support records to continuously improve services and content.
E) Privacy & Data Protection
All personal data related to accessibility requests are processed on a need-to-know basis and in line with confidentiality principles. Data retention and disposal follow defined schedules.
F) Contact, Effective Date & Review
Contact: Use official support channels for questions and accommodation requests.
Review Cycle: Policy reviewed at least annually; interim updates made as needed.
